About Elie Seidman
Elie is the CEO of Oyster.com and one of its co-founders.
Elie has been an entrepreneur nearly since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. After spending a year working for Trilogy in Austin, Texas (where he and Ajay Agarwal of Bain Capital Ventures first met), Elie moved back to the East Coast and was involved in the founding of his first company, Wired Business, a telecom services company funded by Norwest Venture Partners. In the fall of 2000, Elie co-founded Epana with his long time business partner Ariel Charytan. After a near banrkuptcy experience after the first bubble burst, they found their product/market fit and experienced a high growth phase between 2002 and the end of 2005 during which they grew Epana to more than 400 employees. Elie departed Epana in the spring of 2006 and spent a year as a venture partner at Lime Rock Partners, a private equity fund based in Westport, Conn.
Ariel Charytan and Eytan Seidman, the other two co-founders of Oyster, contribute to the ideas presented in this blog.

Hi Elie,
My name is Carlos Segura.
I am Spanish and since 1997 I run a small Spanish consultancy specialized in developing new produccts and evaluating quality standards for Hotel chains.
We evaluate Hotels for our customers (mainly large Spanish hotel chains) worldwide and our evaluations are produced under Mystery Guest technic with a group of specialist hotel evaluators.
We worked together in the past with large mystery shopping American companies like Bare International but the joint venture did not worked out as they evaluate any kind of products and use any kind of evaluators while we only deal with hotels (well we also started with airlines and travel agencys as their bussines is travell related) and we only use professional hotel evaluators.
I found your idea extremelly atractive and innovative and wonder if we could somehow cooperate with your company .
Should you find it interesting to contact me my email is carlos@yesconsultores.net
Looking forward to talk to you in the near future. Kind regards,
Carlos Segura.
